IPMA-HR Joins Letter on Proposed FLSA Overtime Regulations

IPMA-HR joined with a number of state and local government, public schools and higher education associations to send a letter to all members of Congress expressing concerns with the U.S. Department of Labor’s proposed changes to the exemptions to the Fair Labor Standard Act’s (FLSA) overtime pay requirements for executive, administrative and professional employees (the “white collar exemptions”). The letter, reproduced below, asks members of Congress to please contact the Department of Labor and the administration to request that they reconsider the rule and make adjustments.
