IPMA-HR's listservs are a member benefit. To join, make sure you are logged into the site (please see instructions on how to access members-only content on the website) and visit the listservs page to get more information on the lists that IPMA-HR maintains and to join.

What if my organization paid for my Individual membership? Will my membership transfer with me when I start a new job?
Yes, you will maintain your Individual membership when you start a new job because an Individual membership cannot be transferred to another individual, so you will keep the membership. Please remember to update your contact information by logging in or contacting us at membership@ipma-hr.org.

My organization has an Agency membership and I am one of the covered staff members. Will I keep my membership after I change my employer?
No. An organization that paid for an Agency membership has the right to cancel your membership at anytime and add a new staff member, and a new Member ID number will be assigned to the new member. Your Member ID will stay the same so you can login to our website at the top of our homepage and apply for a new Individual membership or download a membership application and send it to IPMA-HR.

What is IPMA-HR membership cancellation policy?
Your membership will be canceled upon receiving a written request.

What is the difference between Individual and Online membership?
An Online member will only have online access to the IPMA-HR benefits, and will not receive a hard copy of publications or Member card. Visit our website for membership categories.

I am a part-time student and currently work in the HR field. Am I qualified for a Student membership?
No. Only a full-time graduate or undergraduate student who is not currently working in the HR field can apply for a Student membership. Visit our website for membership categories.

I am a member of a local IPMA-HR Chapter. Will I have the same membership benefits as an IPMA-HR member?
Not without also having a United Membership. If your chapter is affiliated with IPMA-HR, and you have no other IPMA-HR memberships, then you will only be receiving the following benefits: the weekly HR-Bulletin, and the IPMA-HR member rate for all professional development activities. Please remind your chapter representative to forward your name and contact information to IPMA-HR, so we will have your contact information.
