Hiring Salary Range (annual): $69,908.80 (min) - $87,391.20 (mid)
Type of Position: Full-Time, 40 hrs/week

Position Summary:

The Total Rewards Administrator – Compensation, reporting to the Director of Human Resources, is responsible for working with a high degree of latitude on some of the most complex and sensitive issues. This role is responsible for building strategic partnerships with internal customers and will help them with compensation related services and solutions. The successful candidate will possess expert knowledge and provide leadership on projects related to compensation, with knowledge of benefits and retirement. This role requires a healthy mix of analytic mindset and administrative work.
Denver Water seeks a person who is able to communicate compensation-related information to those unfamiliar with it, as well as someone who is comfortable presenting in front of executives and board members. The successful candidate will be able to provide multiple solution options as needed, and will be able to navigate changing waters as Denver Water continues to transform its Human Resources function and approach to Total Rewards.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Determine wage and salary changes resulting from merit increase, promotions, or other job changes or market adjustments.
• Participate in the completion of industry and discipline surveys.
• Provide offer recommendation analysis for new hires, coordinating communication with hiring managers through the Talent Acquisition team.
• Review job descriptions for accuracy internally and with the market, adjusting as necessary.
• Participate in the development of personnel policies and procedures.
• Act as own project manager for special projects and ongoing Total Rewards work.
• Analyze market and trend data for development of new programs to enhance the Total Rewards package.
• Support the performance management process at Denver Water through recommendations on merit budget and other rewards and recognition options.
• Assist employees with understanding Denver Water’s total reward package and acts as a liaison between the organization and third-party benefit providers.
• Support Human Resources leadership in presenting information on Total Rewards to the executive time and board members.
• Coach and mentor peers within Human Resources regarding Total Rewards and compensation.
• Provide information for use in memos, presentations, or other Total Reward communications.
• Coordinate and manage third party vendors, including participation in any RFPs that may be conducted.
• Perform related work as required.

Job Requirements (Optional): 

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Human Resources, public or business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of related work experience.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Licenses, Registration and Certifications:
• CCP preferred.
• May require HIPAA Training.
