Fairfax County's Department of Human Resources' Division of Compensation and Workforce Analysis seeks a highly competent and innovative individual for its Senior Workforce Analyst (HR Analyst III) position. This position provides expert consultative services to county management related to the design, administrative and maintenance of the workforce planning program for Fairfax County Government. The appointee will be responsible for:•Performing job analysis and evaluation of new and/or existing positions in consultation with department human resources managers;
•Ensuring county departments organizational structures are maintained;
•Coordinating and leading semi-annual workforce planning meetings with department directors and management staff;
•Serving as an expert for workforce planning initiatives in training, advising management and employees regarding preparation of class specifications and position descriptions;
•Reviewing and developing compensation policies and procedures;
•Development of effective communication strategies for county management and employees related to classification and compensation;
•Interpreting and communicating policies and best practices to management staff.
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in personnel administration, public administration or a related field, plus four years of professional-level human resources experience.
•Six years of workforce analysis and compensation experience;
•Extensive experience conducting complex compensation research, compiling and making recommendations;
•Experience managing large projects;
•Expert knowledge interpreting local, state, and federal laws.

The position is primarily sedentary in nature; however, walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, crouching, carry/lifting items up to 15 pounds, climbing stairs and must have the ability to conduct construction site visits and inspections while walking over rough terrain, have visual acuity to use computers with or without reasonable accommodations.
