Job Description: 

Performs a variety of highly responsible professional, technical and analytical activities in support of the District's human resource management programs, including recruitment and selection, classification and job evaluation, compensation, employee relations, performance appraisal, benefits, affirmative action and employee morale/motivation; and performs related work as assigned.

Job Requirements (Optional): 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, human resources, psychology or a related field; four years of increasingly responsible human resource management experience; or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in a governmental or utility setting is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE OF: Theory, principles, practices and techniques of public personnel administration, including recruitment, testing and selection, affirmative action, employee relations, classification and job analysis/evaluation, compensation and benefits administration and performance planning and appraisal; basic labor relations principles and practices, including contract administration; federal, state and local laws and regulations applicable to the administration of human resource programs and employee relations practices; District personnel policies and labor contract provisions; research methods and data analysis techniques; business communications principles and practices; trends in human resource program development; principles and practices of effective supervision.
