Showing a Personal Commitment to Public Sector HR
The IPMA-HR Certified Professional (IPMA-CP) is a public sector focused credential for qualified HR professionals in an entry- or mid-level career position. It is a designation that symbolizes excellence as an HR expert. Since IPMA-HR started offering the certification in 2000, nearly 12,000 HR professionals worldwide have enhanced their careers with an IPMA-CP designation.
The IPMA-CP is a unique designation for human resource professionals that adds value to your career. With an IPMA-CP, you will stand out amongst your peers, demonstrating your personal commitment to the profession and competence in public sector human resources.
All public sector HR professionals in an entry- or mid-level position are eligible for this certification; there are no prerequisites.
Once you have completed the Public Sector HR Essentials Program — offered online three times a year in winter (January-May), spring (April-August) and fall (August-December) — and pass the new CP Exam, you are automatically certified. No application is required for this certification.
IPMA-HR will automatically send you your certification credentials, along with your recertification information. Included in this packet will also be a form which provides you with the opportunity to have your supervisor and other leaders in your organization notified of your accomplishment.
Recertification is required every three years for a nominal fee.
